| Empty-nesters of LBC

God commands the older saints to impart their wisdom to the body. It is the goal of SeniorLife to provide the support and opportunities needed to enable seniors to put their gifts and talents to use serving others in love. SeniorLife encourages seniors to engage in the life of our church body through service projects, mission trips, fellowships, Bible studies, and LifeGroups. SeniorLife is a two-fold ministry. First, to the seniors of LBC we provide an environment in which our seniors can love and be loved, grow in Christ, and be encouraged and needed in vital ministry work. Second, to the senior community of Grayson County we are dedicated to sharing God’s Word and His message of reconciliation. We strive to befriend seniors, as well as their families and caregivers, showing them they are supported and loved by LBC.

Fellowships
Social events where we share the love of Christ by featuring members’ ministries and testimonies of the Holy Spirit’s work among us.

Serving One Another
Action teams will be available to do light jobs, driving to doctors, offices, errands, shopping, etc. We are also available to visit seniors who are hospitalized.

Nursing Home Ministry
Various teams make weekly visits to area nursing homes to share devotionals and show Christ’s love to the residents.

Operation Christmas Child
SeniorLife organizes shoe box collection and drop off for this popular Samaritan’s Purse ministry to needy children.
