Our desire is for students to build a solid Christian foundation on the truths of Holy Scripture and to make it real and pertinent in their lives. We want to help them build a real and lasting relationship with their Savior that cannot be broken or shaken-a relationship that will last through the future storms of college and adulthood.
Sunday School - Youth Sunday School is a time for youth to interact with their friends, recharge from life and grow in their relationship with God. This highly interactive time of worship and teaching is designed to engage youth of all types, maturity and age levels. We meet every Sunday morning from 11:15 to 12:00 at Texoma Christian School. Donuts are provided so be sure to arrive early to enjoy.
nline - This high-energy Wednesday night is where it is at! From 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. this program rocks it out, and is designed to be relevant and engaging through a variety of activities specifically designed with high school youth in mind. This is where God and life come together. Come on out and join us at “The Basement” (LBC office) for times of discussion, fun or on the last Wednesday night of the month, we meet one hour early (6:00pm) for one of our Mystery Wednesday night events. You never know what we’ll be doing next!
Life Groups - These groups are what you are looking for. They meet at a home near the church so that you don’t have to go far to experience real community! Sunday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., youth gather to learn about a deeper relationship with God, spend time with each other in accountability partnerships, and last but definitely not least, to seek God in prayer. Call Jeff in the office for group homes and locations.
Vision Team (Student Leadership Team) - The Vision Team isn’t your typical youth activity. This “by application only” group of youth are sold out for Jesus and desire to see Him shine through them in the life they live and the actions they show. They meet twice monthly for discipleship and ministry training so that they may be effective ministers to their peers. If you would like more information about the Vision Team or have questions on how you may join, give Jeff a call and he will be happy to help.
Mystery Wednesday - This is what we call the last Wednesday night of each month at nline. Want to know what were doing? Sorry, I can’t tell you. It’s a mystery. This event allows you to get outside of your comfort zones. We could be going anywhere and doing anything, but one thing we do know is that we'll be sharing the love of Jesus Christ with whomever we find there. Some examples include:
- Feeding the needy

- Volunteering at the Pregnancy Care Center
- Working on yards of the unfortunate
- Time and Love to the elderly
- Delivering food and gifts to shut-ins
- Painting the property of the disabled
- Cleaning homes for the less fortunate
- Home repair for those unable
Spring Break Ski Trip - Each year the high school group goes out to Colorado for a ski trip unlike any other. What do you do on a ski trip? Well, you ski of course, but that isn’t all this trip is about. In fact, this trip is an evangelism avalanche where we share the gospel to those we meet on the mountain! Being obedient to God in this way is a blast on so many different levels.
Mission/Youth Trips - We take many trips throughout the summer and school year to help the students see a God who lives beyond the Sherman/Denison area. We have taken mission trips to Venezuela, Peru and Mexico to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have also gone hiking and skiing in the Colorado Rockies to help broaden and refresh the students' spiritual lives. Join us to find out more about how you can be a part of what God is doing through us.
If you would like more information about the youth ministry, please contact the church office.
