Parents
As parents, the primary responsibility of your son's/daughter's discipleship rests in your hands. This responsibility is not something you can abdicate to any other person, no matter their role in the life of your student. As important a role as others play, no pastor, teacher, coach, or mentor can or will influence your child as much as you. With that in mind, we desire, here at Legacy Bible Church, to equip you with tools you can use to lead your families into a deeper relationship with Christ that is reflected in your students life and the love they put into action to those around them.
If you desire to be a part of the Legacy Youth ministry, we would love to talk to you. We currently need volunteers to help out in the junior high ministry. We need families willing to provide meals on Sunday nights for the junior high Sunday program that meets at 5 p.m. A;so, the senior high ministry is in need of couples willing to share their lives and their faith with students in 9th through 12th grade. Mentors are always needed. Maybe you have the gift of hospitality? If you’d like to encourage those currently serving with prayer or sage advice, we could use you. Please consider how you may help.
Mission
Our mission at Legacy Bible Church is: “Knowing Christ and making Him known.” This is done by encouraging and equipping youth to be disciples of Christ and to go and make disciples for Christ; be one, make one.”We see this as our purpose by Christ’s command in Matthew 28:16-20.
“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”
Strategy
The way that N-Line Youth Ministry strives to fulfill this command is modeled by:
Passion
Jesus said, that we must abide in the vine (Christ) to be fruitful Christians and that apart from Him we can do nothing (Jn. 15:4). Our passion as Christians is to be about loving God first as He Himself said is the greatest commandment in Matthew 22:37-40.
“Jesus replied: ”‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’”
Result
If we teach the youth at LBC to love God with their whole heart we should see tangible results (fruit) as they love others; a testimony of their relationship with Jesus. It looks like:
