Consider Your Ways: The Book of Haggai
Busyness seems to be the plague of modern life. We all feel pulled in so many directions, we often feel like we can’t get anything done. And once duties are done, we ask, “What about me? What about MY time? I deserve a little personal happiness, a little bit of the good life.” Then, in the midst of all our list writing and goal keeping and pleasure seeking, the discouragement and frustration of life threatens to make all of our efforts null and void.
What’s the answer? Well, it has less to do with how fast we’re running the race and more to do with the direction we’re headed.
The prophet Haggai admonished a distracted and discouraged Israel over 2500 years ago with the words “Consider your ways.” Though God had promised that their nation would be restored after years of exile, he warned that the promise of peace would only be realized as the people kept their focus on HIS purposes. We want to take that same admonition and apply it to our lives.

Galatians: Understanding Grace
Grace...Anyone who’s been around churches or church folk has probably heard the word a lot. And most of us have sung, or heard someone sing, the great hymn “Amazing Grace” countless times. But do we understand what the grace of God is really all about? In this letter from Paul to the churches of first century Galatia, the apostle pleads for followers of Jesus never to turn away from, and forsake, the grace of Christ. That grace is the ultimate gift of a loving God to make a way for us to come to Him. It is what the Christian life is all about. Much of our difficulty, frustration, and even pain comes often because we lose sight of grace. We hope this study will help you to understand God’s grace better so you can grow and walk and live in it as you’re meant to do.

The Church
In this series we examine some of the foundational aspects of God’s plan for the Church: its purpose, its leaders, its ministers, and its ministry. Who are those who make up the Church? And what is their reason for being part of this group? Who is to lead the local church? One senior pastor? Some sort of board? Who are the ministers in the local church? Those who have attended seminary? Those who work full-time at the church building? These are some of the questions this series seeks to answer as we see how God intends to use each member of the body in ministering the gospel to a fallen world.

My Storm, His Calm
No matter who you are, where or when you live, you will face difficulties in life. No one gets a free pass. Whether it's a struggle at work with a boss, a physical affliction, the sting of loneliness, or ultimately death, we all go through hard times in life. In these four messages from a study of the gospel of Mark, we see four stories of people dealing with the storms of life--fear, tragedy, suffering, and evil. As we see their stories we learn that when these storms crowd in and force us to realize our weakness, we're in the perfect place to experience the awe-inspiring, life-changing Jesus of the Bible.
