The Christmas story is a story of love, hope, redemption, and relationship. So, what happened? How did it turn into stuff, stress, and debt? Somehow, we’ve traded the best story in the world for the story of what’s on sale. Can you recall what you got for Christmas last year? How about the fourth present you got? Truth is most of us don’t recall, because it wasn’t necessarily something we wanted or needed. Americans spend almost $1 trillion during the Christmas season. Therefore, this year we want to live out the gospel throughout the season by WORSHIPPING FULLY, SPENDING LESS, GIVING MORE, and LOVING OTHERS!

As we approach the four Sundays of Advent, let’s enter in differently. Let’s not continue to do the same patterns out of obligation or cultural coercion, but instead we can change the world one opportunity at a time.

Our hope is that you will choose to reTHINK CHRISTmas and THINK CHRIST each day. Our prayer is that you will take these video devotionals and it will be a tool for you, your family, and your friends to discover how when we rethink the Christmas season, it can change everything. Living out the gospel at Christmas may change our worship services, our parties, our spending, our giving and the time we spend with each other. IT BEGAN with worship! IT BEGINS with worship! It’s not enough to SAY NO to the way Christmas is celebrated by many -- we need to SAY YES to a different way of celebrating.
